Train also stops at Mambalam at 23.40, stops at Tambaram at 23.55 - you can board at these two places too.

- A tempo traveller has been arranged for local travel to temples.
- please carry a few extra towels as it may be raining on Sunday. A veshti will come as handy while changing dresses in the kaveri ghat in public (!) :)
- a plastic cover to wrap up wet dresses is a must (a big one like Saravana Stores or Pothys).
- please carry change to buy garlands, flowers, archanai thattu and to drop in Hundial/ Thattu. We will be travelling to a lot of small temples in villages, whose revenue is mostly dependent on travellers like us.
- please bring adequate newspaper sheets/ small kunkuma dabbas for collecting vibhuti, kungumam, sandhanam and Manjal
- a dose of pulippu mittai for travel allergic people and a few packs of biscuits for those who cannot wait until we get a good shop for food is highly recommended.

Plan for Lagadam 2014:

Board 6183 Uzhavan Express at 2330 on Saturday Nov. 15, 2014 at Egmore. Arrive at Mayiladuthurai Jn on Sunday Nov. 16, 2014 around 0530.

Proceed to Lagadam bathing ghat and then to Mayuranathar temple to have darshan of Velli Rishaba vahanam.

Breakfast at Kaliyakudi Mess, Pattamangala veedhi.

Forenoon session:

Take Tiruvarur Road -
